
Peter Wayne serves as Chief Revenue Officer for The Forge Companies (TFC). He previously served as General Counsel of TFC from 2017 to 2024 and as a Settlement Planner for Forge Consulting, the national insurance agency branch of TFC, from 2009 to 2011. He returned to The Forge Companies after gaining experience as an estate planning attorney at Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP, a large regional law firm, and as an administrative and business development officer at Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company, both in Louisville, Kentucky.
Peter’s various responsibilities include leading and establishing the vision for all revenue-generating activities for TFC; ensuring revenue goals are met by aligning marketing, sales, and customer success with the other business units within TFC; assisting advisors at Advocacy Trust, Forge Consulting, and Advocacy Wealth Management with planning concepts and strategies; and helping executive management with the design, structure, and implementation of policies and procedures necessary to TFC’s continued growth.
Peter was a member of Louisville’s Business First Forty Under 40 in 2016 and, while in private practice, was selected as one of Louisville’s “Top Lawyers” in the area of Elder Law by Louisville Magazine in 2014. In 2020, Peter served as President of the Louisville Bar Association, where he remains an active member. He is also an active member of the Kentucky Justice Association.
In addition to his work at TFC, Peter serves on the Board of Pillar, a non-profit organization focused on providing support and housing to the disabled community of Kentucky. He is a frequent speaker at local, regional, and national conferences and author of numerous articles about estate planning, business succession, elder law, and special needs planning.
Peter spends his free time with his wife, Julia, and their two children, Molly and Henry. He enjoys coaching his children’s athletic teams and urban real estate development, attending concerts, listening to music, supporting Louisville Public Media, watching college football, and exercising.
